Sherry started in healthcare in 1984 as a pharmacy technician and decided to become a nurse when she was inspired by the compassionate care she observed when her mother was sick. Sherry graduated from Aquinas College with an Associates of Nursing Science degree in 1994 and graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing with a Master's of Nursing Science in Clinical Management (adult education / Acute care of adult patients) in 2006. Sherry then graduated from Tennessee State University with a post-Master's Certificate with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus in 2009. Sherry has worked in Critical Care at St. Thomas, Heart Failure / Cardiac, Pain Management, Palliative Care, and Urgent / Primary Care. Sherry enjoys spending time with husband of 42 years and her family / friends (especially her 6 grandchildren). Sherry is a fan of spring time in TN, summer cook-outs, fall bonfires and planning get togethers. Sherry loves to bake and cook and also enjoys spending time preparing, canning, and freeze-drying foods from her garden.
